The Tessera Wall Clock

A striking handmade hardwood wall clock featuring an intricate three-dimensional cube illusion.

Each cube is individually constructed from carefully cut pieces of contrasting hardwood, with the different grain directions and natural tones of the timber creating the illusion of depth across the face of the clock. From a distance the pattern appears almost three-dimensional, while closer inspection reveals the precision and craftsmanship behind each individual piece.

The clock is handcrafted from sapele, beech and oak, mounted onto a stable plywood backing and carefully flattened and finished to create a smooth, durable surface while retaining the natural character of the timber.

A contrasting black hour and minute hand, together with a red seconds hand, completes the contemporary design.

At approximately 290 mm in diameter, this is both a functional timepiece and a distinctive piece of handmade wood art, designed to become a focal point on any wall.
